Protected Or Protector
Could It Be Both?
Our fortress is eternal; no storm can destroy or scatter Him into pieces. Our God is our fortress; He is faithful, sovereign, and every fortress other than He will be destroyed.
God is our fortress; no storm shall take Him under. Sometimes, He creates a storm to stretch us in His faith and to show us how powerful an Eternal Father He is.
When He breaks us, He is the architect that builds us back up according to His blueprint and foundations; one that is meant to withstand any debris or storm, unlike an adamant object that shatters due to structural damage, serving no purpose. We are not damaged; He has a purpose and plan for us.
God, what does it mean to have You as our fortress?
Thank you, Lord. You are our place of strength, durability, our protector, our foundation, providing us with a place in each season to protect us through the profound truth of guarding our hearts and navigating our steps, making Your path clear.
The world’s fortresses are built of many…BUT You, God, are the one almighty fortress over all people and things.
When storms come, help us not to fear, but to grasp you tightly, with peace knowing You are our protector, showing us the purpose in the storm, healing our hearts, bringing us to a place of surrender, a place of rest in You as our fortress.
